Banging instead of Playing

Please don't missunderstand me, I know OPEN MICS are for people to jam, experiment, and have a good time, I am for that. I have put some time and effort into my art, I am not bad at it, I know I still have a long way to go. It upsets me when people think that all they have to do is beat on a drum, with no regard to the other musicians they are playing with. Hand Drumming is an art from, just like the guitar, bass, or any other instrument. I would not get up in front of people and play the guitar… Continue

I just added groups for the Del-Tones and the Quin-Tones. Thanks for all your input. Let's fill these groups with pictures and history...maybe even some mp3s!

Great ideas Amy, the question was for a paper I must do for my English comp class. Although I personal say no. I must argue for jail on my paper.

Good question, Louis. More certainly needs to be happening...but if in jail, they aren't parenting at all. Maybe something like this: I'm in the educaion field (adult literaacy)--perhaps they should have to attend literacy programs through the York County Literacy Council x hours/week until they get their GED--not only would they be more able to held their child with his/her homework, but they coudl have their back due amount lessened or something like that. If they have their GED, maybe they should have to voulunteer at their child's school x hours/week. then they would be contributing directly to their child's education as well as helping the schools--who are often undermanned and need folks to be aids, do clerical work, etc. I guess I'd rather have children's role models kept in mainstrem society than "my mommy went to jail..." but in a way that reduces their back child support for servies provided for their own educaiotn or for the educaion of their child. What do you think?
