I've been performing around south central Pennsylvania for most of my life, and I've lost count of how many bands I've been in. I like to keep occupied with multiple music projects and gigs but I never seem to have enough time to do everything I want to do! I guess I'll take a break when I'm dead. Performing live is definitely a rush, but a parallel passion of mine is writing. A few songs from my "String Theory" CD are on this web page and you can check out more of my stuff on my official website at www.bobrigel.com. Hope to hear from you.

A new Blues/Rock band will be appearing on the York area music scene real soon. Drummer Tom Dawes and Bob Rigel (me) recently met here on Scrapplehead, and with bassist Blaine Wyser, decided to put "Headshot" together. I have to admit, this is a great combination. We played a Labor Day party gig just three weeks after we first met, and had a blast! Be on the look-out for this new Power Trio and c'mon out and check out "Headshot" the first chance you get!

The M80s Band at The Ale House

Another great night at The Ale House in Mechanicsburg. Standing room only! When I got there for set-up, I counted 8 tables reserved totalling over 60 individual seats. By the time we got started, the place was swamped - people were standing in the aisles! And the dancers were pumped as ever! Our popularity in that area is rapidly increasing, and hopefully we will do as well, or better, when we come to York at The Tourist Inn on May 30th. It would be really cool to see some of you there. Hope you… Continue

Solo Acoustic at Brenn's Pub

Fantastic crowd at the Pub last night! It's always fun playing there, especially because the audience wants to get in on the act. As usual, I encourage people to come up to the mic and sing, but at Brenn's Pub, everyones' a singer! It's great! As we jammed into the night, everyone was getting really charged up, so I launched into my acoustic version of Jimi Hendrix's "Voodoo Chile". The whole place lit up as they witnessed me physically attacking my guitar through the whole performance. When I f… Continue

The M80s Band at the Ale House

Holy crap!! What a great show last night! The Ale House was mobbed and the dance floor was packed all night, right from the first song. Our new keyboard player knocked our socks off and without a single practice with the band. Erik played and sang so impressively, you'd think he was with us for years. I hadn't had that much fun at a gig in a long time, and what a good lookin' crowd! Yeah! Good times ahead for sure!!
